EDRA's goals for 2009:

  • NETWORKIG: Expand our networks further by organizing: Study tours, store visits and introduction of members

  • COMMUNICATION: Keep our members updated on all developments, providing statistics,a newsletter and organzing conferences

  • LOBBYING : Strengthen our presence in Brussels and lobby on environmental, trade and other law projects



What is EDRA and why was it set up?


EDRA was founded in April 2002
EDRA, which stands for the European DIY-Retail Association was founded by the German and French national DIY associations BHB and FMB in Berlin in 2002.

The aim was to set up an organisation which would represent the interests of the entire European Home Improvement sector and where member countries would lobby together to improve the quality of legislation for the DIY sector. we want to promote the importance of the DIY industry to increase the value of everbody's home
