One of the highlights of this year's event was the 2nd European DIY Lifetime Award presented to Gilles Caille for exceptional contribution to the European DIY industry. Caille, who for many years has been the President of Uniball France (the Association for French suppliers) and founder of fediyma (the Federation of DIY Manufacturers), was given a standing ovation when he received the Award.

Overall a very successful Forum and we are already focussing on the challenge to make next year's 2nd Global DIY Summit, following the superb Summit last year in Brussels, a sell-out event. The 2nd Global DIY Summit will be held in Rome, Italy, on 6-7 June with even more international delegates expected.
