John Herbert has spent more than 27 years in the Home Improvement business. He was the Managing Director of Knauber (a family-owned DIY chain in Germany) for 17 years, after which he spent a short time in the US as President of the EXPO Design Center West Coast USA. From 2002 until 2008 he was joint Managing Director of the BHB, the German Home Centre Retailing Association. Since 2004, John Herbert has been the General Secretary of EDRA.

Alisdair Gray took up his role for EDRA in September 2010 where his main responsibility has been opening the new EDRA Brussels office. With over ten years’ experience as a Brussels lobbyist, Alisdair will be focusing on ensuring the voice of the sector is heard and acted upon by EU decision-makers and opinion-formers. He previously spent seven years with the British Retail Consortium.

Cecilie Beyer joined EDRA in June 2010 having previously worked within administration
and marketing in the USA, Denmark, England and Germany. Cecilie
is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and coordinates all of
EDRA’s activities including organising events and managing the membership.
Cecilie is also responsible for EDRA trade fairs and facilitating members’ visits.
